I use only food grade ingredients for the Cutting Board Cream:
Mineral Oil, White Bees Wax, Lemon Essential Oil
Proper Care of your Cutting Board:
Wash your cutting board with soap and water, scrub well. After washing thoroughly, dry your cutting board immediately with a towel and let it air dry standing up or on a raised rack with air flow. When your cutting board is completely dry, apply the Cutting Board Cream. Start by dabbing a dime size amount of the Cutting Board Cream and buffing a thin coat onto the entire board (both sides and edges) using a circular motion with a soft cloth. (Large cutting boards will require more Cutting Board Cream) While not necessary, it’s recommended to let the cutting board cream soak into the board 5-10 minutes up to overnight then wipe/buff off the excess. I recommended you apply the cutting board cream to your cutting board monthly.
Why condition your cutting board with the cutting board cream?
The goal of the cutting board cream is to penetrate the wood and saturate the wood fibers to stop any liquids (blood, bacteria, moisture) from soaking into the board. The cutting board cream acts as a physical barrier on the surface of the wood to help protect against stains and liquids.
“Never do these things to your Cutting Board”
